Adobe Creative Suite 4 is designed to be removed using the Adobe Creative Suite 4 uninstaller. Following the on screen instructions and selecting Uninstall should allow you to remove Adobe Creative Suite 4. A few user specific files and folders are left by the installer. Problems within the Operating System and user account can prevent Adobe Creative Suite 4 from being uninstalled. A number of these problems can be resolved using the steps listed below. If you want to ensure the preferences were delete or you had forgotten to choose the Option in step 3 you can delete them manually.

Preference files are located in :

• Users/<user_name>/Library/Preferences ; search for files and folders with CS4 in the name.
• Library/Application Support/Adobe; search for files and folders with CS4 in the name.

Occasionally, a user account can become corrupted and prevent the uninstallers from accessing or deleting the necessary files and folders. Create a new account, log in to the new account, and then try to uninstall the Adobe application.

If some of the options are grayed out, click the padlock icon and enter your administrator name and password.

Enter the user name (for example, type test). Make sure to enter a password that you'll remember (such as test) in the Password and Verify boxes.
Select the Allow User To Administer This Computer option. This makes the test user an administrator.
When the log-in screen appears, choose the test user.
